Hi! My name is Kim and I am from the Netherlands. Right now I'm living in Välkkylä, Oulu, but at the beginning of April I will move to Otokylä. I'm 22 and my birthday is at the 15th of April.
I build this page to complete my HTML-assignment for the DIME-course at the Univerity of Applied Sciences in Oulu. DIME means Digital Media and Multi-broadcasting and it’s a very interesting course. The programme excist of different modules, like photography and image manipulation, internet, HTML, PHP, video, radio and a lot more.
Välkkylä is a very boring place. Most of the people who live here are from Finland. They are quit and it is very hard to get to know them. It is so boring that I’m really looking forward to move at the first of April!
Yesterday I received an e-mail from Sami, about the confirmation of my room in Otokylä. Finally I can move to Otokylä! In Välkkylä I have my own room, I can sleep and work in a quit environment. But it's boring!
During the holidays my friend and I made a trip to Kemi. We planned to do a sleigh ride with reindeer.
It was a very nice experience. The reindeer were trained and very sweet! I even hugged one! His name was Elvis, it was a white reindeer.
We drove over the Botnic Sea and trough the forest. During the break we drunk coffee in a typical Lappish Teepee. There was a campfire to keep us warm. I would recommend it to everyone!
Next weekend there will be a trip to Ruka, Kuusamo. We will go skiing and snowboarding, but it will be very hard for me cause I am not really experienced with winter sports. Maybe I will like it, but maybe not!
I don’t know if I want to go snowboarding or skiing. I can slide down the hill with a sleigh as well, cause it is lots of fun! I’m really looking forward to it, cause now I’m in Finland, I want to experience winter sports.
